  • I have read a lot of marriage blogs, but the one I liked more is zeemaid blogspot com.
  • www.whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com gets my vote, but I think I may have voted already. It's so good that I want to vote twice!
  • James Jobst
    http://www.engagedmarriage.com/
    gets my vote.

Practical, timely, thought provoking and insightful content to make good marriages GREAT!
Not for just women or just men, a place for both husband and wife to learn how to stay closer to one another and to God.
    Keep up the great work!
  • Ooh! Without a doubt, my vote is for:

    http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/

Mrs. Levine has created a space where married women can whisper about all the things really on our minds--and she provides fabulous eye candy in the form of vintage photos/images, too!

Whispered Between Women is the best there is--hence why it's one of my "visit everyday blogs".

This blog is amazing. She is a wonderful writer insightful, funny and deep. I follow everyday. She write honestly about marriage, about what keeps one going and about love.
  • Jose Beltran
I vote for http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/. For funny pertinent advice...
  • Vintagevamp
I'd like to vote for a new one that I LOVE: Whispered Between Women at http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/

So far it's touched on some really entertaining topics including young love, divorce, grandparents, road trips, crushes, panties, masturbation, vintage ads, and even a riddle. I love the author's writing style -- she has a poet's soul and a sage but optimistic way of looking at the world.
  • I nominate http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/
because it is real, deep, and honest.
It is a dichotomy of fifties stereotypes and the complexity of modern times.
  • My Vote: www.whisperedbetweenwomen.com
It is sharp, witty, engaging, very honest. It has good writing, beautiful photos, and revealed secrets.
  • I love Whispered Between Women: http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/
It's a site where married women share their secrets about the struggles of married life. Mrs. Levine the moderator writes honestly and beautifully, revealing her own struggles with being married and childless in a culture that wants married couples to have babies at all costs. Also, she uses some fantastic photos and artwork from the fist half of the 2oth century to juxtapose the "modern" ideal of a woman then and now.
  • BR
I nominate http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/. It's a beautifully written, beautifully rendered look at modern marriage and old-school gender roles. Plus there's vintage pinups and toothpaste ads for the 1950s gal about town. Excellent site.
  • I feel like I've just stumbled upon a treasure chest. I'm also fairly new to marriage blogging, but if anyone is interested I write WhisperedBetweenWomen.com (http://www.whisperedbetweenwomen.com), a blog about the secrets married women keep and a place to whisper among friends. I look forward to reading all of these great recommendations!
  • I would like to nominate http://whisperedbetweenwomen.tumblr.com/ A gorgeous blog with sharp wit and literary charm. I check it everyday!
  • I know of a good relationship marriage blog at itmightbelove.com. But I might be a little partial :)
Hope everything goes well for your grandfather, will keep you in our thoughts.
  • Dustin has really come up with some insightful fresh thoughts and gets my vote for a great way to discuss what is going on in todays relationships. Thanx Dustin!
  • Dustin's site is very informative and insiteful informatin into what is happening in today's relationships. Great job Dustin!
  • Tori
I vote for engagedmarriage.com. Dustin does a great job of connecting with his readers and posting interesting content that we can all relate to.
  • Amy Guinther
I LOVE Dr. Michelle Gannon's blog at http://www.drmichellegannon.com . She is humerous and honest and speaks to what we all are feeling. My vote goes to her!
  • Peggy Butler
I would like to nominate www.drmichellegannon.com. Michelle is smart, humorous, and writes about topics that are of interest to just about anyone. Great blog!
  • kcl
Alisa Bowman’s blog “Project Happily Ever After” (http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/). It's wacky, wise, and wonderful.
  • Hands down my vote goes to Alisa Bowman's Blog "Project Happily Ever After" (http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/). Alisa writes an open, honest funny and ultimately truthful blog about all aspects of marriage from love, communication, sex, fun, parenting and so on. She shares her life in a genuine way, is never "forceful" while expressing her views and encourages reader feedback. She doesn't hide behind politics, rhetoric and is willing to share her flaws, that I respect--because we all have them! She presents herself as a real wife who helps make the rest of us real wives feel better about ourselves. She has made many of us, married or not, myself included, feel "normal" and hopeful again--and that's pretty spectacular! I've read her blog for just over a year and it is one of the highlights of my computer time! Alisa rocks and so does her blog! This is a great contest, thanks!

    Many Blessings,
    -Sarah Liz :)
  • www.themarryblogger.com has become a favorite sunday point for me
  • Kim
I vote for Alisa Bowman..Project Happily Ever After!! :)
  • I vote for EngagedMarriage.com because Dustin makes regular contributions to his blog that speak to helping marriages work. It isn't that he gives advice...he's more like a reporter, documenting observations from his own life and others that give you something to think about that can make a difference. He is engaged in his marriage and he knows how to share information that helps the reader be engaged in theirs.
  • Great articles on Marriage Communication & Enrichment!
  • Walter
My vote goes to Project M. Heck, I'll even admit that its author is a relative AND asked her readers to nominate her for this totally rad blog contest. However, having done that, I've read some pretty nifty stuff from this blog, so everyone wins. http://projectmonline.wordpress.com/ If all you ever do is read one post there, you might as well make it one about sex education. This is funny: http://projectmonline.wordpress.com/2009/11/06/...
  • Krista
I nominate the Generous Wife at www.the-generous-wife.com. There is also one for husbands: www.the-generous-husband.com. I love the Generous Wife because Lori always gives great ideas for me to inject into my marriage!
  • Marni
The site that has informed my marriage most is ChristianNymphos.org. Its a site for married Christian women, but it has really opened my eyes to so many things in my marriage! Thanks for all the other marriage blogs that are listed!
  • Cell phone GPS >> Miracl
[...]another nice source of information on this subjectis ,www.themarryblogger.com,[...]
  • Dustin gets my vote, too! His entries are timely, practical & a much needed resource for anyone looking to strengthen their relationship.
  • Cheryl
The only marriage blog I read:

    http://www.ProjectHappilyEverAfter.com

Packed full of advice and laughter
  • renee
Project Happily Ever after get me vote.
    http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fww...
  • Lauren MacKenzie
I would love to nominate the Hubby Diaries! I swear the author reads my mind and it makes my appreciate my own hubby despite all the times he drives me crazy. She brings a bit of humour to they everyday mayhem that comes with being a couple. http://thehubbydiaries.wordpress.com/
  • Ryan
Please enter a vote for me for Dustin for www.EngagedMarriage.com.
  • Mandi
Please give a vote to Dustin at http://www.engagedmarriage.com. His blogs are very well written and you can tell he puts time and effort into each post!
  • I'd like to nominate Kathleen's blog: http://projectmonline.wordpress.com/. It's insightful, articulate, candid, down to earth and always, an enjoyable read! She offers such a unique perspective--a scholar from a Mennonite community-- that is definitely worth checking out!
  • Susanne
Another vote for Project M (http://projectmonline.wordpress.com/)! It's honest and entertaining, and I cry myself to tears with almost every entry. What a gifted writer!
  • Great suggestions! I've added every one to my Google Reader. Now if I can just find the time to keep up with all of them! Thanks everyone, and thanks to Stu for starting this!
  • I VOTE FOR ENGAGED MARRIAGE, READING DUSTIN'S BLOG MAKES ME WANT TO GO OUT AND GET MARRIED......!
  • I'm voting for Project M. Kathleen writes from a fresh perspective on her and her husband living out their promise to one another. Project M is realistic and 'down to earth' and funny!
  • Courtney
I really like ProjectHappilyEverAfter.com. I love her humor and honesty and she speaks the truth! I can absolutely relate.
  • Patty D
I would like to nominate the "She Just Got Married" blog (http://www.shejustgotmarried.com/modules/blog/).

The reason that I pick this one is because it is modern, includes a variety of topics, and is a community for newlywed women (the posts on this blog are accumulated from members' posts).

I really like this community site along with TheNest (although TheNest doesn't have a great blog, but valuable community forums instead). They both really helped me in my first months of marriage.

Later on I started searching for other more spiritually-oriented sites like ForYourMarriage.org and EngagedMarriage.com, both which I highly recommend as well.
  • Jennifer
Please give another vote to Dustin at www.engagedmarriage.com He gives practical advice that is sometimes even counter-cultural, but he does it in a really endearing way. Love it!
  • Heather Greene
I would like to nomiate Project M as well. Kathleen is an amazing author and brings such a unique perspective to the world of marriage advice - young, Mennonite, self-deprecating and funny! Her posts range from her husband's petty and hilarious clothing destruction to contemplating the inevitability of one partner outliving the other. If you've never heard of it, check it out for yourself: http://projectmonline.wordpress.com/
    Go Project M!
  • I say the EngagedMarriage is the best. Great content. Very thoughtful. Not sure how he finds time to post as often as he does. All I can say is keep it up! http://www.EngagedMarriage.com/
  • Lorien
I really enjoy www.simplemarriage.net. Excited to see your top 10 list!
  • daniele otoole
I would like to vote for Engaged Marraige, as it is a great reminder of things I can do to continue to build my marriage. Great work Dustin!
  • Peggy Butler
I nominate Marriage Prep 101 by Drs Michelle & Patrick Gannon. www.marriageprep101.com
  • Brian C.
I give my vote to Engaged Marriage at www.engagedmarriage.com  Dustin is a guy who understands the struggles we sometimes face as husbands.  But he is also very empathetic to the needs of the females both in his life and among his readers.  Funny, open and honest guy with a very cool site!
  • Emil J Leser
I'd like to add http://www.simplemarriage.net/ to the mix. It is my number one blog to read on marriage
  • Michael Sonderegger
My vote is for Engaged Marriage. It is refreshing, articulate, funny at times, relates well to people my age (33), most importantly makes me reflect on what I can do to make my Marriage and family life stronger.
  • Becky
I would like to nominate http://www.ProjectHappilyEverAfter.com. Alisa is awesome! She's forever blogging about things that everyone wants to know about but are too shy to ask.
  • Stu, this was obviously a great idea! You are providing a needed service by exposing some high-quality marriage blogs even to those of us already in the niche.

I'm honored to be included in a list among such great bloggers!
  • groovygranny
www.projecthappilyeverafter.com is the best site. Alisa is candid, funny, well informed, sensitive, positive--mostly, I think, it is her honesty that should win her this contest. Best of all, she is a great writer.
  • Charlie Walker
    http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/

Alisa Bauman is clever, insightful, wise and not afraid to take a potshot or two at herself. It's simply the best blog on this topic that I've ever read.
  • Wow - This is awesome! Make sure you scroll through the comments for links to great marriage blogs!!! I will post a list of all the finalists as well...

Thanks for voting for your favorites!! - Stu
  • Christina

Kathleen gives a realistic looks at marriage with good advice and good humour!
  • I'd like to nominate ProjectHappilyEverAfter.com for the best best best marriage blog ever been and ever will be!! Alisa Rocks!!!
  • Eva
I would like to nominate Project M:
    http://projectmonline.wordpress.com/
It is a very unique blog as it is from the eyes of a young married woman, who is also a mennonite. It is very funny and well written. I particularly liked her honest accounts on how the church tried to teach her about sex.
    -Eva
  • It's a toss-up--there are several good ones. I like Heart,Mind and Strength Blog (http://www.exceptionalmarriages.com/weblog/), Foryourmarriage.org 's blog by Sarah (foryourmarriage.blogspot.com), but my own on NFP (related to marriage, but not as broad), but I'm going to have to go with Dustin at Engagedmarriage.com. The new kid on the blog block has solid content, good widgets, and he posts often. My only complaint is that he's too nice to the occasional rabid commenter :).
  • I vote for a fab blog site http://www.engagedmarriage.com/
  • Alisa at Project Happily Ever After writes to the bone. You can feel her as a person breathing between the words. http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/my-blog/
  • I nominate Project Happily Ever After. Why? Alisa is real, and lets the reader know how her life has, and continues to change. There’s a certain sweetness to her writing, almost like hot apple pie. ;)
  • Project Happily Ever After (http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/my-blog/) - Love Alisa's blog
  • Kathy
    My favorite blog is http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com

I found Alisa's blog purely accidentally one night. Now I can't wait to read her blog when she posts one. If she takes some time off, I'm missing her humor, wisdom and honesty.
  • I was just going to nominate Project Happily Ever After, http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/my-blog, but I see several people beat me to it! Alisa pulls no punches, and yet she makes me laugh in almost every post. I've learned to examine my own marriage in a whole different light thanks to her.
  • Mariska van Aalst
I have learned some pretty scandalous things from Alisa Bowman's blog at projecthappilyeverafter.com, I have to admit--all the more useful when those racy tips are mixed in with smart, funny thinking about the banalities of married life. And when she fesses up to those darker moments of parenting, she seems to be writing from an outpost in my brain.
  • Jo
Project Happily Ever After... It's real, it's honest, contains the good, bad & the unmentionable... and written humorously, so it's understandable and interesting. Kudos to author/blogger Alisa. The best!
  • glenn
  • Deb
I love Project Happily Ever After! Honest, funny, down to earth.
  • I vote for projecthappilyeverafter.com. Alisa gives great marriage advice on a variety of subjects in a very entertaining fashion.
  • Sarabeth
    www.projecthappilyeverafter.com

Alisa's advice, brutal honesty, and down-to-earth personality helped save my marriage. She's wonderful, and her advice is better than any I've gotten from any friend or relative.
  • Love this blog, it is like a conversation with a best friend. Alisa takes all those things in the back of your mind but never discuss and throws them right out there for discussion.
  • Manuel
Project Happily Ever After ! It's easy to read and loaded with common sense. Alissa is broad-minded and is not afraid to see things from all angles...she tells it like it is.
  • Sheryl Sackett-Francik
I like Lori Lowe's blog: http://www.lorilowe.wordpress.com . She always has great advice for her reader's and I refer back to her articles often. Her blogs are easy to read and it is easy to relate to her stories.
  • I vote for http://blog.havetherelationshipyouwant.com/post... her site is more geared towards women however she is great with her advice - women can learn how to keep it all together by loving themselves
  • http://www.simplemarriage.net/ In this crazy world that's always adding more things a reminder to keep things simple is a welcome change.
  • Natalie
Easy one for me... Project Happily Ever After (http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com/my-blog/). I stumbled across this in the last year and love the honesty, humor, and self-deprication Alisa uses while giving real, practical advice. I check it frequently (daily) for updates and am nodding my head in agreement more than not.
  • Thank you for the nominations. You are so kind. I am a Psychologist and Founder of Marriage Prep 101 Workshops for the past 10 years with my husband, Dr Patrick Gannon- http://www.MarriagePrep101.com. My Blog is at http://www.DrMichelleGannon.com. I really like http://www.lorilowe.wordpress.com. Lori has obviously done her research, but she writes an easy-to-read, simple, concise blog, with humor, and always with a thought/challenge/suggestion to improve your marriage.
  • I vote for Engaged Marriage. The blog is clean, looks good, easy to read and Dustin comes across as a positive yet real person.
  • I vote for Dustin at Engaged Marriage as well! http://www.engagedmarriage.com/

He always writes interesting posts and is very interactive.
  • I love Esther at Therapy Notes (http://blog.grouptherapyassociates.org/). Her posts are really useful without sounding like a textbook on what marriage should be.
  • Definitely http://www.projecthappilyeverafter.com . Alisa is riotously funny and fully of wisdom. She's mature and youthful at the same time. I enjoy reading it so much that I often forget I'm learning things.
  • Dustin over at Engaged Marriage!!!! http://www.engagedmarriage.com/

Love this... there's lots of marriage blogs that I haven't been to yet... definitely will have to go check them all out.
  • I vote for www.engagedmarriage.com I appreciate it's words of wisdom and it's realistic take on things... It really has it's priorities straight and gives honest, true advice.
  • Ron
Engaged Marriage. Even though I've been married almost 20 years (dated for five), his style reminds me of what things were like when everything was new.
  • Laurie
    Simple Marriage rocks! www.simplemarriage.net

  • Thanks for all the replies! Keep them coming!
  • Joe
Definatly my vote is for Life Gems at www.lorilowe.wordpress.com. Her writing is out of this world, All of her writings give you a sense feeling of a personal connection. Well researched and facts behind the writings. I always look forward to the Blog!
  • Audra
I vote for www.lorilowe.wordpress.com. Her weekly blogs give insight to many different topics about marriage, family life and love. All are backed up with statistics and real life stories of people she has interviewed. Her writing is engaging and offers a bit of humor.
  • Christy
I'm nominating Life Gems at www.lorilowe.wordpress.com because it is very relevant, funny and thought provoking. Lori discusses topics that are timely and I can almost always see myself and my relationship with my spouse in them. She offers ways to grow and improve your marriage as a couple.
  • My vote is for Life Gems at www.lorilowe.wordpress.com. Lori's posts are concise, supported by research and really get you thinking about how to be a better partner. She gives you simple things to think about and motivate you.
  • Bethany
My vote is for Engaged Marriage (http://www.engagedmarriage.com). I can really relate to the content, and I like the realistic and humorous way he writes about everyday marriage issues.
  • Tammy
I vote for engagedmarriage. I am not at all a blog follower, but when I began reading Dustin's blog, I found myself going to see if he had posted anything new all of the time. He has great advice and a very practical way of looking at everything.
  • Batrice Adcock
    Engaged Marriage!!

It is wonderful to see an intelligent MAN standing up for the good of marriage!
  • I'd add my vote for Engaged Marriage. I think Dustin provides excellent content. His suggestions really help me to stay focused on making my marriage the best it can be.
  • Stu, I'd be happy to write a post about it and plan to spread the word via the EM Facebook page as well. I just didn't want to "taint the well" by sending a bunch of my readers over here as it almost seemed unfair. Of course, I guess having an audience that is willing to come by and leave a comment is really part of being a "top ten" blog. And I'd be helping them find your blog, which is a win-win for all!

Brad & Samantha, thank you for your support! You guys have killer blogs as well.
  • @Brad and Samantha Thanks so much for your comments guys! I need to spend more time at both of your blogs for sure!!

@Dustin - thanks for the props! I hope this takes off as well. I would love to have a great list to pass along to others... soooo, since you are the popular kid here today, maybe a post about it?? lol ;)
  • I nominate Engaged Marriage.

Dustin does a really nice job of challenging his readers and giving them practical marriage advice that promotes growth and stability.
  • First of all, I vote for your site, Stu. :)

Secondly, thank you Kristin! Thanks for your support but also for sharing that your friend found and enjoys Engaged Marriage. Please tell her and her husband to stop by and leave a comment. I'm sure you and Stu can both understand how helpful and motivating it is to hear positive feedback.

Finally, Stu I love this idea and I hope you get a huge response!
  • I love the blog Engaged Marriage- www.engagedmarriage.com Not only is this a great blog for relationships and marriage, it's also a great family blog. I have learned a lot from it!
  • @morris - I check out Alisa's blog too - I think she has a great sense of humor and love her writing!

@kristin - you make me laugh!

@jessica - Great blog. Corey's site is awesome.

Thanks for your thoughts all! If you know others who read marriage blogs - pass along the link!!
  • Jessica
I have really enjoyed Simple Marriage (http://www.simplemarriage.net) because it is SIMPLE and PRACTICAL. I like how things on a variety of subjects and I like that one can participate/use on a variety of levels, from casual browser to more serious 'student'. One added bonus, for me, are the Free Lessons that keep things all neat and tidy in my folder ; ) It saves ME time and energy, bringing things easily at my fingertips for further reference. I also like the varied points of view, with different authors/contributors, which I don't all like the same but certainly not everybody has MY tastes!
  • Do I get brownie points for saying "The Marry Blogger" is one of my faves??? :-)

Honestly, the 2 I read regularly is this one and Engaged Marriage (http://www.engagedmarriage.com/). A friend of mine came across Engaged Marriage the other day on my blog and told me yesterday just how much she and her husband love it and how it was helping her new marriage. I promptly referred her to Marry Blogger too. So those are my 2 faves - I'll leave it up to you to decide which one you'll include on your list! :-)
  • I really enjoy reading Project Happily Ever After. Why do I like it? Author Alisa keeps it real, and lets the reader know what low points she's been through, and still managed to bring it back and keep it together. There's a certain sweetness to her writing. She also gets good, thoughtful, and sometimes funny comments from her readers.
