Thank you for your comments!!

Our pastor recently did a series on marriage and one of the most significant things I got from his teachings is that our marriage isn't just about "living happily ever after" but about helping each other become all we can be so that God can use us for His glory! I think that makes all the hard times worth it knowing that we are being shaped through the process... God is so good!

It's always a good thing to accurately know where you are before you begin to work on changing. This isn't to discourage us, but to encourage us later as to the progress we've made. How many couples we've met would rather put their head in the sand and pretend things are well, when it is obvious to others that this isn't true. They arrogantly believe if they avoid the pitfalls they'll be okay. But how unhealthy for marriage this way of thinking is! God wants us to humble ourselves (taking assessment quizzes like you've provided) and discover our weaknesses so we can present them to Him for growth in godliness and a stronger marriage. It's not just for us - but in order to make us useful in His Kingdom! We should boast in our weaknesses because when we do this He makes us strong, and we - more than anyone else - knows where the strength has come from! It's all from Him and for Him.
