I have to disagree with removing the TV from the bedroom. It is not the TV that is the issue but how it is used. My wife and I have been married for 23 year and have always had a TV in the bedroom. We use it as a marital aide. We both are busy and by the time we climb in to be each evening we are exhausted. When the lights go out our eyes close and the snoring starts. The TV allows us to stay awake a few minutes longer so that we can end the day cuddled, holding hands, and even the rare spark of lust. We watch Leno, Conan, or Steward, and Colbert each night talking about the day, our kids, and our life. We also watch movies together, discuss interesting news items we see while getting dressed in the morning, and even using it as a radio (and white noise) when are "intimate." It is not the TV that is the issue it is the love of the TV that is the issue. Yes it can be distracting but used right it can enhance the time people spend together.

[...] Unfortunately, at least for us, teasing is something we forget to do. We get so comfortable that we file it away under “Fun-things-we-used-to-do-when-we-were-young-and-in-love”! Well, add the tease back to your marriage. It could be a very good thing. Much better than anything you’ll see on TV! [...]

[...] Together as husband and wife – we can make positive changes in the world. We can achieve the dreams we had when we were dating, we can do those things if we get off our butts and ditch the tv. [...]
